- Payment details – for bank transfers, the details shown on your payment; for cryptocurrency payments, the transaction ID or receipt you send us. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Messages – what you tell us in emails, enquiries and order notes, such as the bike you ride or the parts you need.
- Account details – if you create an account, your login details (your password is stored encrypted).
- Technical information – your IP address, browser and device type, and pages you visit, collected through cookies and server logs.
How we collect it
We collect most information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, email us or visit one of our locations. Our website also collects some information automatically through cookies (see below). Occasionally we receive information from third parties, such as a courier updating delivery status.
Why we collect it
- to process, deliver and support your orders, deposits, warranty claims and returns;
- to answer your questions and give advice about bikes and parts;
- to run, secure and improve our website;
- to keep business, tax and accounting records as required by law; and
- to send you information about your order. We will only send marketing emails if you have agreed, and every marketing email lets you unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
Under this privacy policy, we only share personal information when we need to, with:
- couriers and delivery partners, including our VIP motor courier service for bikes;
- payment providers and banks that process your payment;
- our website hosting, email and IT service providers;
- manufacturers and suppliers, where needed for warranty claims or special orders;
- our professional advisers, such as accountants; and
- government agencies or others where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Please note that cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on public blockchains. We cannot change or delete information recorded on a blockchain.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including website hosting, email and web font providers, may store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information.
Cookies
This privacy policy also covers cookies. Our website uses cookies that are needed for the shop to work, such as keeping items in your basket, remembering your login and completing checkout. WooCommerce also records how you arrived at our site (for example, from a search engine) so we understand which channels bring customers. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the basket and checkout may not work without them.
Keeping your information secure
