Description

The EVO jackshaft is a CNC-machined, one-piece replacement jackshaft for the SurRon Light Bee X. Proven to 30kW, it is built for riders running serious power upgrades and anyone who wants a stronger, longer-lasting drivetrain. A special batch is available in black and silver with the MPE logo.

Why upgrade to an EVO jackshaft?

The jackshaft sits between the primary drive and the final drive, so it carries all of your motor’s torque. On high-power LBX builds, the stock jackshaft and its bearings can become a weak point. The EVO jackshaft is machined from 6-series alloy as a single piece and uses hybrid ball and needle bearings for maximum lifespan and smoothness.

  • CNC-machined one-piece jackshaft from 6-series alloy
  • Proven to 30kW
  • Hybrid ball and needle bearings for maximum lifespan and smoothness
  • Shaped stainless-steel axle sleeves
  • Grease port and injection holes for easy lubrication
  • Molybdenum grease for performance and longevity

Built to be maintained

Grease ports and injection holes make it easy to keep the EVO jackshaft lubricated, which is key to long bearing life. Regular greasing keeps it running smoothly and quietly, even on bikes that see a lot of hard riding.

Fitting tips

  • Disconnect the battery and support the bike securely
  • Remove the primary drive and final drive components to access the jackshaft
  • Fit the EVO jackshaft following the instructions, then grease it through the grease port
  • Reassemble, set belt or chain tension and check everything rotates freely

Bundle and save

Purchase the EVO jackshaft with an upgraded titanium pivot shaft to save 15% off both items – contact us to arrange the bundle.

Maintenance tips

Grease the jackshaft regularly through the grease port, especially after wet or dusty rides. Listen for changes in drivetrain noise, which can be an early sign of bearing wear.

Fitment and compatibility

Designed for the SurRon Light Bee X. Choose black or silver from the options above.

Product notes

This evo jackshaft is a one-piece part machined from 6-series aluminium and proven at 30kW, built to take the place of the stock SurRon item.

  • Hybrid NKIB ball-and-needle bearings for long life and smooth running
  • Profiled stainless-steel axle sleeves
  • Grease port with injection holes for easy servicing
  • Packed with molybdenum grease from new
  • Limited batch in black or silver with MPE branding

Servicing: when the jackshaft starts to sound noisy, it is time to grease it. Use a thin bearing grease only. Take out the M4 stubs first, then feed grease in slowly until it appears at both holes. Hold a screwdriver against the oil seal while you work so the pressure does not push it out.
