The LBX QS8 harness is an upgraded battery-to-controller harness for the SurRon Light Bee. With it, you can push extra current through the system without overheating the battery terminals or factory loom.
Why upgrade to an LBX QS8 harness?
The stock battery connection on the Light Bee is designed for stock power levels. When you add a higher-output battery or controller, the current flowing through the connector and wiring increases. Undersized connectors can overheat and melt, which can damage your battery, harness and controller. The QS8 connector is designed for high current, and this LBX QS8 harness gives your power upgrade a safe, reliable connection.

Soldering required
Please note that you will need to be able to solder the battery terminal plug on safely. Working with high-capacity batteries can be dangerous, so only attempt this if you are experienced. Damage caused by incorrect installation is not covered. Australian customers who would like help, message us about dropping off or freighting your battery to us for fitting.
Who needs one?
If you are running a high-power battery, an X-9000 controller or any setup that draws more current than stock, an LBX QS8 harness is strongly recommended. It is a small part that protects much more expensive components.
Installation tips
- Turn the bike off and disconnect the battery before starting
- Solder the battery terminal plug carefully, using heat shrink to insulate every joint
- Route the harness away from sharp edges and moving parts
- Check the QS8 connector clicks fully together before powering up
Why connectors fail
Connectors heat up when current flows through them. If a connector is too small for the current, or the contact is poor, it heats more and more until the plastic softens and the contacts fail. A high-current connector with a solid connection runs cooler and lasts longer.

Factory wiring was not designed for high-current batteries. This lbx qs8 harness uses QS8 connectors between the battery and controller so you can run more power without overheating the terminals or the original loom.
Installation: the battery-side plug has to be soldered on, so only take this on if you are confident with high-current soldering. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect installation.
