This LBX 16 inch rear wheel is a 1.85 wide wheel with a black rim, black hub and silver spokes, made for the SurRon Light Bee from high-quality 7000-series alloy. It also fits the Talaria Sting when you add the adaptor kit, but it will not fit the Talaria XXX.

Running wider tyres
You may choose to also purchase our SurRon Light Bee axle spacer kit to fit wider 16 inch tyres. The spacers push the wheel out away from the chain, reducing or eliminating the need to shave the knobs on the tyre where it meets the chain.
Fitting tips
Fitting an LBX 16 inch rear wheel is straightforward:
- Transfer your rotor, sprocket and spacers from the old wheel and torque all bolts correctly
- Check the sprocket lines up with the chain and the rotor sits centrally in the calliper
- Fit a heavy-duty tube and check tyre clearance against the chain and swing arm
- Re-check spoke tension after the first few rides
Strong 7000-series alloy
The LBX 16 inch rear wheel uses 7000-series alloy, which has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, so the rim resists dents while keeping unsprung weight low for better suspension performance.
Wheel care
Check spoke tension and rim lock tightness regularly, especially after the first few rides as new spokes settle. Keep an eye on tyre pressure, rinse mud and sand off the hub and bearings after wet rides, and inspect the rim for dents after hard hits. A well-maintained wheel lasts longer and keeps the bike tracking straight.
Fitment and compatibility
Suits the SurRon Light Bee. If you have a Talaria, you can purchase this wheel but you must also purchase the adaptor kit or it will not fit. This item will not fit the Talaria XXX.
