Description
This Ultra Bee 21 inch rim is a stronger bare 21-inch front for the SurRon Ultra Bee, built in 7000-series aluminium and laced to a black hub with silver spokes and nipples. It bolts in without modification. It is supplied without rim lock, tube or tyre, so you can build it up with your own choice of rubber.
Why choose the Ultra Bee 21 inch rim?
The Ultra Bee runs a 19 inch front wheel from the factory. A 21 inch front is the standard size on full-size MX and enduro bikes, and it rolls over obstacles more easily for better stability on rough ground. Buying the bare wheel is ideal if you already have a favourite tyre or want to fit your own setup.

Building up the wheel
- Fit quality rim tape to protect the tube from spoke nipples
- Install a rim lock if you run low pressures for off-road grip
- Use a heavy-duty 21 inch tube such as our IRC 80/100-21 tube
- Fit your chosen tyre, set pressure and check bead seating before riding
Strong 7000-series aluminium
7000-series aluminium offers excellent strength for its weight. A strong front rim resists dents from rock strikes while keeping unsprung weight low.
Wheel care
Check spoke tension and rim lock tightness regularly, especially after the first few rides as new spokes settle. Keep an eye on tyre pressure, rinse mud and sand off the hub and bearings after wet rides, and inspect the rim for dents after hard hits. A well-maintained wheel lasts longer and keeps the bike tracking straight.
