Description
This 420 motorcycle chain is a replacement final drive chain for SurRon Light Bee and Talaria builds. Choose a standard length to suit your sprocket, or ask us to cut it to a custom length – the maximum custom cut length suits a 64T SurRon setup.
Why replace your 420 motorcycle chain?
Your final drive chain transfers every bit of power to the rear wheel. Over time chains stretch, links stiffen and rollers wear, which leads to noisy running, poor power delivery and faster sprocket wear. A worn chain can even jump the sprocket or snap. Fitting a fresh 420 motorcycle chain keeps your drive smooth, quiet and reliable.
- 420 pitch motorcycle chain
- Suits SurRon Light Bee and Talaria
- Standard lengths for 58T and 64T SurRon setups
- Custom cut lengths available
- A smart replacement when fitting new sprockets
Choose your length
Select your bike and chain length from the options above. If you are running a non-standard sprocket or wheel size, choose the custom option or contact us and we can cut the chain to the length you need. Maximum custom cut length is suitable for a 64T SurRon.
Signs your chain is worn
- The chain can be pulled away from the rear sprocket at the back
- Tight spots or stiff links when you rotate the wheel
- Rust that does not clean off, or kinked links
- Hooked or sharpened sprocket teeth
Chain care basics
A clean, lubricated chain lasts far longer. After dusty or muddy rides, clean the chain with a suitable cleaner and a soft brush, dry it, then apply a lubricant designed for sealed O-ring or X-ring chains. Check tension every few rides – a chain that is too tight wears sprockets and bearings, while one that is too loose can slap, wear quickly or come off.
Replace sprockets too
A worn chain quickly wears new sprockets, and worn sprockets quickly wear a new chain. For the best life, replace your 420 motorcycle chain and sprockets together. Our premium sprocket and chain kit is a great option if you want more torque at the same time.
Fitting tips
- Support the bike so the rear wheel spins freely
- Measure the old chain or count links before removing it
- Fit the new chain and master link with the clip facing the correct direction
- Set tension and check alignment before riding
