Description
Ultra Bee brake pads wear faster than most riders expect. The SurRon Ultra Bee is heavier and faster than a Light Bee, and that puts more load through the brakes every time you slow down. These upgraded replacement pads are made to replace the OEM pads on your Ultra Bee and keep your stopping power where it should be.
Why replace your Ultra Bee brake pads?
Worn pads mean longer stopping distances, a spongy or grabby lever feel and, if left too long, damage to your brake rotors. Riding in mud, sand and wet conditions speeds wear up even more. Fresh Ultra Bee brake pads restore consistent bite and help protect your rotors from expensive damage.
- Upgraded replacement pads for the SurRon Ultra Bee
- Made to replace the OEM brake pads
- Restores consistent bite and lever feel
- Helps protect your rotors from metal-on-metal damage
- One set per brake – order two sets for front and rear
How many sets do I need?
One set of Ultra Bee brake pads suits one brake. If you are replacing both the front and rear pads, order two sets. If you are only replacing the front or the rear, order one set.
Fitting tips
- Push the pistons back gently before removing the old pads
- Clean the calliper with brake cleaner – never use oil or grease on braking surfaces
- Fit the new pads with the friction material facing the rotor and refit any pins and clips
- Pump the lever until it is firm before riding
Bedding in new pads
New pads need bedding in to reach full power. Find a safe, clear area and do a series of moderate stops from medium speed, gradually increasing pressure. Avoid locking the wheels. This transfers an even layer of pad material onto the rotor and gives you strong, consistent braking.
Check your pads regularly
Inspect pad thickness every few rides, especially if you ride in wet or sandy conditions. Replace pads before the friction material wears down to the backing plate.
Pair with other brake upgrades

Product notes
These upgraded ultra bee brake pads take the place of the factory pads. One set does either the front or the rear caliper, so order two sets if you are refreshing both ends of the bike.
Fresh pads are one of the cheapest ways to restore strong, consistent braking on your Ultra Bee.
