The Ultra Bee 270mm rotor kit is an oversized front brake rotor supplied with the special bracket needed to fit it. It replaces the OEM front rotor on the SurRon Ultra Bee and increases stopping power – we have found it to be a significant upgrade on OEM braking.
Why upgrade to an Ultra Bee 270mm rotor?
The Ultra Bee is fast and heavy for an electric dirt bike, and strong, controllable front braking is essential. A larger rotor gives the calliper more leverage over the wheel, which means more stopping power for the same lever effort. It also gives the brake a larger surface to shed heat, helping performance stay consistent on long descents. Fitting an Ultra Bee 270mm rotor is one of the most effective brake upgrades you can make.

Why the bracket matters
A bigger rotor moves the braking surface further out, so the calliper has to move too. The included bracket relocates the calliper to line up with the larger disc, making this a complete bolt-on upgrade.
Fitting tips
- Support the bike so the front wheel is off the ground and remove the wheel
- Swap the OEM rotor for the 270mm rotor, using thread locker and torquing the bolts in a star pattern
- Fit the relocation bracket and calliper, then centre the calliper over the rotor
- Bed the brake in with a series of moderate stops before riding hard

Fitment and compatibility
The Ultra Bee 270mm rotor kit is for the front of the SurRon Ultra Bee only. It is not available for the rear at this stage, and it is not designed for the Light Bee X – see our 250mm rotor kit for the LBX.

Bigger disc, more stopping power: this ultra bee 270mm rotor comes with the dedicated bracket that relocates the caliper, letting you swap the factory front disc for a larger one. In our experience the improvement over the stock brakes is substantial.
The kit is for the front wheel only; there is currently no rear version.
