This LBX brake assembly is a complete stock brake unit for the SurRon Light Bee X, taken off a brand-new SurRon bike. Choose the left-hand assembly for the rear brake or the right-hand assembly for the front brake, and get a factory-correct replacement in one part.

Left or right?
On the Light Bee X, the left lever operates the rear brake and the right lever operates the front brake. Select the side you need from the options above. If you are replacing both brakes, order one of each.
Fitting tips
- Support the bike securely and note how the old assembly is routed along the frame and forks
- Mount the lever on the bar and the calliper on its bracket, then route the line along the original path
- Make sure the line is not pinched or stretched at full steering lock or full suspension travel
- Check the lever is firm and the brake works properly before riding – test at low speed first
Brake safety
Brakes are the most important safety system on your bike. Keep pads and rotors free from oil and grease, check pad wear regularly and inspect brake lines for damage after any crash. If you are not confident working on brakes, have a qualified mechanic fit your LBX brake assembly.
Upgrade while you are at it
If you are replacing a brake, it is a good time to consider better pads or larger rotors. Shimano brake pads and 250mm rotor kits are popular LBX upgrades that give noticeably stronger stopping.
