These Talaria seat extenders are made from CNC-machined, anodised alloy and are designed for the Talaria Sting MX3 and MX4. They lift the seat to make room for larger aftermarket batteries such as the 72v/57Ah and 60v/65Ah packs, and offer an alternative to an extended battery lid.
Why fit Talaria seat extenders?
A bigger battery is one of the most popular upgrades for the Talaria Sting, but larger packs sit higher than the stock battery and the standard seat will not close over them. Talaria seat extenders raise the seat mounting points so a bigger battery fits neatly underneath, without cutting or modifying your bike.

Ride height and comfort
Fitting this kit raises the seat height by approximately 2 inches. Taller riders often appreciate the extra room, while shorter riders should consider the higher seat before ordering. If you are unsure whether the extra height will suit you, measure your current seat height and add around 5cm to see how it feels.
Fitting tips
- Remove the seat and check the battery fits comfortably in the compartment
- Fit the Talaria seat extenders to the seat mounting points and tighten them evenly
- Refit the seat and check it locks down securely over the battery
- Make sure nothing presses on the battery cables or connectors
Why alloy extenders?
Machined alloy is strong, light and holds its shape, so the seat stays secure even on rough trails. The anodised finish resists corrosion after wet rides and washing.
Fitment and compatibility
These extenders are designed for the Talaria Sting MX3 and MX4. They are not intended for SurRon or E-Ride Pro bikes. For SurRon Light Bee riders we stock separate seat extenders.

Running one of the bigger Talaria batteries – the 72v/57Ah or 60v/65Ah? These talaria seat extenders lift the seat to clear it, as an alternative to an extended battery lid. They are CNC-machined from alloy and anodised.
Note that fitting them raises the ride height by about 2 inches (roughly 50mm).
