Charger requirements
The included charger is matched to the 81v (22S) battery. Because of the higher voltage, 81v chargers can draw more current than standard chargers and may need a 15A outlet – see our 22S 81v battery charger for details.
Fitting tips
Installing the Ultra Bee battery kit:
- Turn the bike off and remove the stock battery
- Fit the new battery and connect the high-power harness, ensuring all connections are fully seated
- Secure the battery and check nothing presses on the cables
- Charge fully before your first ride
Battery care tips
Store the battery at around half charge if you will not ride for a while, charge in a dry, ventilated area away from flammable materials, and never charge a damaged or swollen battery. Let a hot battery cool before charging after a hard ride.

For Ultra Bee owners – or anyone planning to buy one – this ultra bee battery kit is the single biggest power upgrade you can make. The battery carries a two-year warranty for the original buyer.

The kit contains
- Version 4 high-power 81v (22S) 76Ah battery
- 15A charger (see note below)
- Custom-moulded lid to fit the larger battery
Charger plug: the charger can draw up to 11A, so it is supplied with a 15A plug and needs a 15A outlet. A 10A-to-15A adaptor from an electrical retailer will work in most homes, though there is a slight chance it may trip your RCD or RCBO since the load is just above 10A. If you would rather have a 10A plug fitted, tell us in the order notes – charging will then be slower, taking about 7 hours from flat to full.
