Floating rotors allow the braking surface to expand slightly as it heats up, helping it stay true and reducing the chance of warping under hard use. That means consistent lever feel and less brake judder.
Fitting tips
- Remove the wheels and swap the stock 220mm rotors for the new 250mm rotors
- Use thread locker and torque the rotor bolts in a star pattern
- Fit any calliper spacers or brackets supplied, and centre the callipers over the rotors
- Bed the brakes in with a series of moderate stops before riding hard
