The MPE LBX 60v 65Ah battery is a high-capacity replacement battery for the SurRon Light Bee X. It keeps the standard 60v system while giving you substantially more capacity than the stock pack, so you can ride further on every charge.
Why upgrade to an LBX 60v 65Ah battery?
Range is one of the most common frustrations with a stock Light Bee. A higher-capacity battery means longer trail rides, more laps at the track and less time waiting for the charger. Because the LBX 60v 65Ah battery stays at 60 volts, it works with the standard 60v electrical system, which keeps the upgrade simple compared with moving to a higher voltage.

60v or 72v?
If your goal is more range with minimal changes, a 60v battery like this one is a straightforward upgrade. If you want more performance as well, our 72v batteries paired with a suitable controller can deliver more power – but they need a 72v-compatible controller and charger. Not sure which suits you? Charging
Use a charger designed for 60v batteries. Note that our 72v fast chargers are not compatible with 60v batteries.
Fitting tips
- Turn the bike off and remove the existing battery
- Check whether your bike needs seat extenders or a longer clip for a larger pack
- Fit the new battery and make sure all connections are fully seated
- Charge fully with a compatible 60v charger before your first ride
Battery care tips
Lithium batteries last longest when they are looked after. Avoid storing the battery completely flat or fully charged for long periods – around half charge is ideal for storage. Charge in a dry, ventilated area away from flammable materials, use the correct charger for your battery voltage, and never charge a battery that is damaged, swollen or has been submerged. Let a hot battery cool down after a hard ride before charging.
