The Ultra Bee controller is the brain of the SurRon Ultra Bee’s power system. It takes energy from the battery and controls how it is delivered to the motor, managing throttle response, ride modes and regenerative braking. This genuine stock controller has been taken off a brand-new SurRon bike, giving you a factory-correct replacement.
Why replace your Ultra Bee controller?
Controllers can fail from water damage, overheating, electrical faults or crash damage. Symptoms include the bike not powering the motor, cutting out under load, error codes or erratic throttle response. If diagnosis points to the controller, a genuine Ultra Bee controller returns the bike to stock performance and behaviour without the tuning and harness changes an aftermarket unit would need.

Stock controller or upgrade?
If you want your Ultra Bee to ride exactly as it did from the factory, the OEM controller is the simplest option. If you are chasing more power, the X-9000 controller kits in our power upgrades range are designed to unlock more performance – but they need their own harness and setup. We are happy to talk through which path suits your riding.
Fitting tips
- Disconnect the battery and wait before handling any electrical components
- Label every connector on the old controller before removing it
- Check plugs and pins for corrosion or damage and clean them as needed
- Mount the new controller securely and confirm every connector clicks home before testing
Diagnose first
Before replacing your Ultra Bee controller, rule out simpler causes such as loose battery terminals, a faulty airswitch or damaged wiring. Many power problems are caused by connections rather than the controller itself.

Protect your controller
Water and heat are the biggest enemies of any controller. Avoid pressure washing near the controller and its plugs, make sure the mounting allows air to flow around the case, and check the main connectors are tight and corrosion free during regular servicing.
