Description
Surron Ultra Bee HP: the registrable full-size Surron
Sitting at the top of the Surron range, the MY26 Surron Ultra Bee HP is a proper full-size electric motorcycle. It pairs serious power with advanced suspension and a long list of electronics, yet it still rides with the light, agile feel that put Surron on the map.

The headline for many Australian buyers: both versions carry full ADR approval, so the bike can be registered for the road. Ride it to work Monday to Friday, then point it at the fire trails on Saturday.
Priced from $10,490.00 including GST. Covered by our 12-month defect warranty for the first owner.

Two versions: Ultra Bee HP T and Ultra Bee HP R
We sell the current MY26 Surron Ultra Bee HP in two forms. Choose based on where you will spend most of your time:
| Version | Focus | Tyres | Weight | Colours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HP T | Off-road | MX-style knobbies (80/100-19 front) | About 91kg | Carbon Black, Desert Brown |
| HP R | Dual-sport | CST all-terrain (120/80-18 rear, 90/90-19 front) | About 93kg | Carbon Black |

Apart from tyres and weight, the two are mechanically identical: a shared drivetrain, battery, suspension, electronics and road approval. Select your version and colour from the options on this page.
Which version suits your riding?
If most of your kilometres will be on dirt – fire trails, bush tracks, private property or the occasional enduro loop – the HP T is the natural choice. Its knobby tyres bite into loose ground and it is the lighter of the two by around 2kg. You can still register it and ride on the road, but aggressive tread is noisier and wears faster on bitumen.
If you plan to commute during the week and explore at the weekend, the HP R makes more sense. Its all-terrain tyres are quieter and longer-lasting on sealed roads while still finding reasonable grip on gravel and hard-packed dirt. Every major component is shared, so you give up no performance either way – the choice comes down to tyres, colour and where you ride.
Performance: 24.5kW and 520Nm at the rear wheel
The MY26 update brought a clear jump in pace. In Turbo mode the motor peaks at 24.5kW, and torque at the rear wheel climbs to 520Nm. Surron Australia quotes 0–50km/h in 1.84 seconds, 0–80km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 95km/h.
All of it happens without a sound and without a clutch or gear lever. There is enough urge to stay ahead of city traffic, haul up steep fire roads without breaking a sweat, and keep seasoned riders grinning on faster tracks.
Six riding modes and connected electronics
Surron Australia lists six modes: CRAWL, ECO, DAILY, SPORTS, TURBO and REVERSE, letting you tailor the bike to the situation. ECO maximises distance, CRAWL makes slow technical sections easier, and TURBO unleashes all 24.5kW.
- Wheelie Control (SWC) – two settings that stop the front from lifting too far.
- Surron app – GPS location, vehicle health monitoring, custom riding modes and over-the-air software updates.
- Upgraded charge port – takes more input power, so charging is faster and more efficient.
- Auto-park – an electronic hold that keeps the bike from rolling when stopped.
Battery capacity, range and charging
Surron Australia specifies a removable 74V 60Ah lithium-ion battery storing 4,440Wh. It is rated to cover 115km at a constant 50km/h, and a 20–80% charge takes about two and a half hours. The pack is quoted at more than 1,500 cycles and is expected to retain above 80% capacity at the 1,500-charge mark.
Day to day, that is enough for most commutes with a healthy reserve, or a full day exploring trails. Heavy use of TURBO, carrying more weight or climbing all day will cut the distance, while ECO and DAILY extend it.
KKE suspension, brakes and full-size dimensions
Make no mistake about its size. According to Surron Australia the seat sits at 910mm, the wheelbase at 1,380mm and ground clearance at 318mm, with overall dimensions of 2,010 × 850 × 1,180mm.
KKE supplies the suspension: a 37mm inverted fork with 240mm of travel up front and a single rear shock providing 240mm at the wheel. Four-piston hydraulic calipers bite on 240mm wave rotors at both ends for strong, repeatable braking whether you are on bitumen or gravel.

Registering and licensing your Ultra Bee HP
This is the Ultra Bee you can plate. Both versions are fully ADR approved, meaning they comply with the Australian Design Rules (ADRs), so registration for road use is possible. Surron Australia also lists the Surron Ultra Bee HP as LAMS approved.
Each state and territory sets its own rules and fees for registration, compulsory third-party cover and licensing. Check with your transport authority – including any learner restrictions that apply to you – before riding on the road.
Once registered, it must be ridden in road-legal gear and under normal road rules, including speed limits and helmet laws.
Surron Ultra Bee HP price and inclusions
The Surron Ultra Bee HP starts at $10,490.00 with 10% GST already included – there is no tax added at checkout. Crated delivery to anywhere in Australia is $250 per bike, and registration fees are paid separately to your state or territory.
The removable 74V battery is included, along with our 12-month defect warranty for the first owner. The bike arrives crated and needs some assembly. Choose T or R and your colour above.
Comparing it with a petrol road bike? Factor in what you will no longer spend on fuel, oil and routine servicing. Over a few years of daily riding, those savings make the price far easier to justify.
Road registration, step by step
Buying the bike is step one. Every state runs its own system, but the process usually looks something like this:
- Hold on to your tax invoice – it shows what you bought and the price you paid, including GST.
- Ask your transport authority what is required for a new ADR-approved motorcycle, including whether an inspection is needed.
- Organise CTP insurance if your state sells it separately from registration.
- Pay the fee and fit your plate before riding on public roads.
Because registration is paid directly to your state or territory, it is not part of our price. Need paperwork from us? Just ask.
How the Surron Ultra Bee HP performs in the dirt
Being road legal takes nothing away from its trail ability. With 240mm of travel front and rear, 318mm of clearance and 520Nm at the back wheel, it handles fire roads, rocky climbs and whoop sections comfortably – particularly the T with its knobby tyres.
CRAWL mode is a highlight off-road, capping speed and softening delivery for slow technical terrain where precise throttle control matters. On a machine this big, REVERSE is a real help when you need to back out of a tight corner. Once the track widens, SPORTS and TURBO let it run.
Choosing between the Ultra Bee HP, Light Bee 2 and Stage 3 build
| Model | Key figures | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surron Ultra Bee HP | Full-size, 24.5kW, 520Nm, ADR approved | One bike for road and trail | From $10,490.00 |
| Light Bee 2 | 24kW, 410Nm, 65kg | Lighter, more playful off-road riding | From $8,990.00 |
| Stage 3 Ultra Bee | Custom build with 50kW race tune | Experienced riders on the track | $23,000.00 |
A road-going version of the lighter bike, the Light Bee 2 ADR, is available to reserve. For a single electric motorcycle that does road and trail, though, the Ultra Bee HP is the obvious pick. See our whole range if you are still deciding.
Who the Surron Ultra Bee HP suits
- Commuters wanting a quiet, registrable electric motorcycle with genuine range.
- Bush and fire-trail riders tackling bigger terrain that calls for long-travel suspension.
- Light Bee X owners ready for more of everything.
- Dual-sport explorers linking fire trails with sealed roads – the R version especially.
With a 910mm seat and a weight of roughly 91–93kg, it is best for adults with the confidence to handle a tall, full-size bike.
Parts and upgrades
Our catalogue includes Ultra Bee modifications, Ultra Bee performance upgrades, batteries and chargers and genuine OEM parts for protection, ergonomics and long-term upkeep. Performance changes can affect road compliance and warranty, so please talk to us before modifying a registered bike.
Why commute on electric?
The daily ride to work becomes calmer and cheaper on battery power. No servo stops, no oil changes, no gear shifting in stop-start traffic. Charging at home costs little compared with fuel, and most people’s round trip to work sits well inside the rated range.
Many buyers weigh it against a small-capacity petrol road bike. In urban riding it keeps up with that class of bike, then adds off-road capability no commuter bike can offer.
Running costs and ownership
Beyond the purchase price and registration, ongoing costs are modest. Charging at home costs a fraction of what fuel would, and the main consumables are tyres, brake pads, the chain and sprockets. There are no oil changes, spark plugs, air filters or valve clearances to pay for. Software updates arrive through the Surron app, so the bike can gain improvements without a workshop visit. Budget for quality protective gear and a good lock, and the Surron Ultra Bee HP should prove very economical to own.

Delivery and first checks
We ship the bike crated to city, regional and country addresses, and some assembly is needed on arrival.
Before you ride, charge the battery, set the tyre pressures for road or dirt, confirm both brakes work properly and make sure the bars, axles and wheels are tight.
Tips for commuting and dual-sport riding
In traffic, DAILY gives smooth, predictable response and ECO helps on longer runs; keep TURBO for open roads and trails. Pedestrians and drivers will not hear you coming, so leave extra space and ride defensively.
For mixed road-and-dirt days the R’s all-terrain tyres are the better option. Drop the pressures slightly for the dirt and reinflate before heading home, and watch the battery level so you have enough left for the return leg.
Protective gear for both worlds
A bike that does two jobs needs two sets of thinking about protection. On the road an approved motorcycle helmet is mandatory, and armoured riding clothes – jacket, pants, gloves and boots – are a must in our view. Off-road, add goggles, knee and elbow guards and chest or body armour.
An adventure-style helmet and boots can cover both uses, which is why many dual-sport riders go that way. Put quality protection near the top of your budget; it matters more than any upgrade.
Looking after your Surron Ultra Bee HP
Maintenance is light compared with a petrol bike – these habits cover most of it:
- Recharge soon after riding, and never put the bike away with a flat battery.
- Keep the bike and pack somewhere cool and dry.
- Clean, lube and adjust the chain on a regular basis.
- Inspect tyres, pads and bolts, particularly after trail rides.
- Install app and firmware updates as they become available.
